Commissioner JAG continues to advance efforts to provide healthcare to the people of Nueces County, especially those in underserved communities. He has created Mobile Health Clinics and continues to oversee the Nueces County Operation Health & Wellness, a collaborative yearly event with our local community partners dedicated to providing essential health services medical, dental, optical and veterinary services for cats and dogs, at no cost to the public.

Commissioner JAG’s top priority is upgrading rural infrastructure by addressing colonia drainage and septic projects to address deficient systems. These improvements are essential not only for residents’ quality of life but also for the ecosystem and restoration of our bays and estuaries in the Coastal Bend.

Commissioner JAG is a lifetime community advocate you can trust. He has created programs like the Truancy Reduction Alternative Program Solutions (TRAPS) to help reduce truancy in Nueces County schools, and found the Education is Our Freedom Scholarship Fund that has provided scholarships to hundreds of college students throughout Nueces County.
